TAIWO OYAFEMI (ACII, AIIN, MBA)

Taiwo Oyafemi attended The Polytechnic, Ibadan and is an Associate of both the Chartered Insurance Institute London and the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria. His experience in the insurance industry is extensive since joining the industry in 1985 via Leadway Assurance Company limited.

He is well known in the industry having served in the Nigerian insurers Association through the Accident Offices Committee (AOC) in various positions capping it as chairman for two tenures. He also had a stint with the Statistical Committee of the Association. Taiwo also has a history of service with the CIIN having served as Education and General Secretary respectively in the Kaduna Chapter at the inception of the Institute’s local examinations where he and the then chairman played leading coordinating roles. He is still active in the service of the Institute.

He has a fine career that transverse many insurance companies as senior member of pioneering teams (Equity Indemnity Insurance Company Limited and Mutual Benefits Assurance Limited). He was also at various times Senior Controller (Claims and General Business) at UNIC Insurance Plc; Associate Director at Heritage Assurance Company Limited; Head of Marketing Operations at Trust and Guarantee Insurance Company Limited; Head(Claims and Technical) at Crusader General Insurance Limited and recently Head of Branch Operations / Network at Custodian and Allied Insurance Limited.

He has attended many courses in Technical areas as well as in Management. He also lectures and facilitates at sessions. Taiwo holds a MBA (Marketing) from Lagos State University and is happily married and blessed with children. He is presently the CEO/Principal Consultant of Togao Consults, an outfit that offers Advisory, Consulting and Training Services to the public as well as the insurance industry.
